Vendôme column lighter (1950)

Have you heard of Place Vendôme, a famous Parisian square and Van Cleef & Arpels' birth place? It was created at the behest of the "Sun King" Louis XIV in the 17th century and is notably renowned for its column, called "Colonne Vendôme". This monument, which was inaugurated in 1810, inspired several pieces in this showcase, like the yellow gold table lighter, a miniature of the Colonne Vendôme.
