Five leaves clip

Platinum, rubies, diamonds

42

The Greek soprano Maria Callas was a great lover of fashion and jewelry and had a penchant for collecting Van Cleef & Arpels' creations. “La Divina”, as she was known, was a regular at the Place Vendôme boutique, where she would discover new pieces and place orders. One of her favorite jewels was this Five leaves clip. Made of platinum, it is set with six oval rubies weighing 15.77 carats, as well as diamonds totaling 16.35 carats. The singer would often wear it to enhance her most elegant outfits, as she did after one of her concerts at the Théâtre des Champs Élysées in December 1973, when she wore it on her shoulder.
